The JV Barons (1-1) defeated the Falcons in Poolesville on Tuesday evening, 56-35. The game was tight through three quarters, with BCC leading by single digits much of the way. The Barons broke the game open in the final eight minutes, however, outscoring Poolesville 22-7. Sophomore guard Greg Lewis had six of his eight points on two three-pointers in the fourth quarter, while fellow sophomore Kurt Feinauer added four of his six points over the same span. Sophomore forward Will McCollum led the Barons with 12 points and freshman Beck Urofsky went a perfect 6-for-6 from the line en route to an 8-point night. The Barons return to the court on Friday when they visit Gaithersburg High School at 5:30.
