The Barons (4-3, 2-0) ended the three-game week on a high note by defeating division rival Einstein 20-7 on Friday. Junior Kalin Condin pitched three scoreless innings and smashed her third home run of the season. Senior Anna Jepsen shined in her first relief appearance of the season, pitching two innings and recording a game-ending strike out. Junior Siobhan Brindle, playing second base for the first time this season, got on base three times and scored each time. Senior Julia Dimmick led the team with four runs, while senior Sally Egan, Condon, and sophomore Abby Leff each scored three times. Sophomore left fielder Rachel Kamis also reached base three times, including a second inning double. The defensive gem of the game came early on when senior first baseman Cori Davis dove to her left and robbed her Einstein counterpart of a sure double down the line. Junior Corin Scheig and sophomore Emma Fairbanks-Lee also collected hits as every BCC batter reached base safely at least once. The Barons will resume division play on Tuesday when they host Kennedy at 3:45.
