The Boys Varsity Tennis Barons braved snow flurries and wintery temperatures to skate to their second victory of the 2018 season over Quince Orchard. The Barons took all seven courts from the Cougars. On the first and second singles courts, sophomore Zach Martel (6-0, 6-4) and senior Matt Dubrow (6-0,6-2) won their matches. Junior Andrew Cha prevailed on third singles court (6-4, 6-4), while junior Kai Freemen won on the fourth court in a nail-biter (5-7, 6-0, 10-6). At doubles, junior Garmani Theim and freshman Eliot Lovinger won the first court 6-1, 6-3, while juniors Garrick Adams and Victor Platzer took the second court 6-0, 6-1. The frosh duo of Philippe Abizeid and Arseny Kazmine completed the sweep on court 3 with a dramatic 6-2, 3-6, 10-6 victory. The Barons’ next opponent is Blake.
