Hi Cross Country Runners and Parents,


We are looking forward to working with you all for our fall cross country virtual season which will run from Monday September 14th through October 16th.  Although this season will look and feel different, we still want to have fun and to make this virtual experience one that encourages building positive relationships and connection with classmates while learning about fitness and working to get in shape.


Many runners will be joining us from different backgrounds, with varying experience with running, and with different ability levels.  We will have a plan to help our newest runners get started and to help our experienced runners improve and set goals for the season.


The format of this season will not be like usual because these are unusual times.  We will not conduct anything in person and we will not encourage you all to meet each other either.  We will provide a training plan and training tips.  We will have check ins each week to discuss training, to get to know each other, and to have fun.  The end goal is usually to run a PR or to win a county, regional or state title, but this season will be more about finding balance and connection to others, while working to be fit and healthy.


Our weekly schedule* will look like this starting on Monday 9/14:

Monday 3:15pm: Team Zoom to discuss plan for the week, follow training plan on your own

Tuesday: follow training plan on your own

Wednesday 3:15pm: Team Zoom check in for team activity, follow training plan on your own

Thursday: follow training plan on your own

Friday: follow training  plan on your own

Saturday: follow training plan on your own, submit weekly mileage, teammate check in to reflect on the week

*Format could change, but any changes will be communicated.
