Congratulations to the B-CC student-athletes who earned All-Met Fall 2017 selections from the Washington Post today!  Congratulations also to Coach Gui Melendez on his selection as All-Met Coach of the Year for Boys Soccer!

Guillermo Melendez, Bethesda-Chevy Chase

In his eighth season with the Barons, Melendez organized a defense that did not allow a goal in 480 minutes of playoff soccer. With six straight shutouts, Bethesda-Chevy Chase  (14-3-3) won the Maryland 4A state title to finish on top of The Post’s rankings this fall.

Tireless defensive midfielder missed only a handful of minutes all season and scored the winning goal in the state semifinals to drive the Barons to the Md. 4A state title.

Clocked the fastest boys’ time in 15:50.63 on the infamously difficult Md. state course at Hereford for the 4A state title. Placed second behind Ryan Lockett at the Montgomery County Championships in 15:35.6.
