Churchill 17 B-CC 7

Pagánsarmy traveled to Potomac Monday night to take on the defending division champions, the Churchill Bulldogs. Right from the outset it was clear the Churchill roster remains top caliber this year. They immediately took a 2-0 lead, extending it to 5-0 before the Barons hit the scoreboard.

Still the B-CC girls fought hard, displaying their own skill and speed as they refused to fade away. Abby Hopkins, Natalia Mobille, Megan Gaffney and Katherine Vangaever all recorded defensive steals, repeatedly thwarting Churchill’s aggressive offense.

B-CC goalies, Ellie Dura and Abby Bollman, played a half each, and both made multiple stellar saves. Clears were converted into goals five times by Cate Paterson and twice by Catherine Gaffney. Still the Bulldogs proved to be too much on this night and defeated B-CC by ten.

Come cheer the Barons as they take their next step in divisional play, 7PM Wednesday April 5 at Richard Montgomery.
