Game Recap

The JV Barons’ amazing winning streak came to an end in the season finale at Einstein. Dating back to the end of last season, the JV Barons had won 16 in a row before this afternoon’s defeat at the hands of a formidable Titans team. BCC dug themselves a big hole in the first, allowing Einstein to score the first 7 points of the game. The Barons played from behind the entire first half, but cut Einstein’s lead to a single point at the half. Einstein used a strong 3rd quarter to extend their lead to double digits, but the Barons battled back in the 4th behind a manic full court press, managing to tie the score with a little over 4 minutes remaining. The game went back and forth for much of the rest of the fourth quarter, but down 3 with under a minute left, the Barons watched helplessly as Cole Doherty’s three pointer from the wing rimmed out. Einstein hit a couple of key free throws to seal the Barons’ fate. The Barons were led once again by Kevin McAuliffe who scored a game high 24. Declan Feldhusen had a solid all around game, registering 7 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 blocks. The JV Barons finished the season a remarkable 14-1.
