Meet Recap

On January 18th, the Barons hosted Einstein High School and came up with a dominant 51-21 victory. The evening began with the 152 lb weight class, with Charles Reynolds earning a second period pin, followed by Seamus Selmi (160) who also pinned his opponent in the second period. Wrestling at 220 lbs, Gabe McAndrew had the fastest pin of the evening in 16 seconds of the first period (in between, Rhys Cohen (195) and Tosin Aroyewun (Hwt.) won by forfeit). Christian Simpson (106) fought off his back to an exciting 8-7 come from behind victory, followed by second period pins by Fabio Martinez (113) and Eli Guttentag (120). Patrick Kirlin finished the evening off with a 27 second pin. The Barons will compete in the Severna Park Scuffle this weekend (Jan. 20-21), and then travel to Damascus on Tuesday, January 24th to compete in a Tri-Meet against Churchill and Damascus.
