Game Recap

B-CC vs. Einstein

The B-CC Lady Barons completely dominated the Albert Einstein Titans 7-1. The first half opened with some excellent plays by a wide variety of Lady Barons. About 10 minutes into the game, senior Olivia Siegel knocked one in for the Barons. Next came a called handball in the box, resulting in a penalty kick for Einstein against junior keeper Carli Boyer. The Titans nailed it low in the far right corner to tie it up 1-1. The Barons answered in quick fashion with junior Clare Edelstein setting up senior Caroline Flibbert for a shot and score. Barons 2-1. Sophomore Sarah Haas brought the ball up for an unassisted goal, followed by classmate Emma McMillian who nailed one off an assist by senior Marley Clendenin.

With the score at 4-1, it was time for a change in goal. Junior Sally Egan replaced Boyer and quickly saw action as another penalty kick was called against the Barons in the box. Egan blocked the low, fast shot and secured the ball, sending it up field for more offensive action by the Barons. The freshmen strutted their stuff as Jessie Gomez set up classmate Lane Lieberman for a great shot; Barons lead 5-1. Junior Lili Barrett was up next with an awesome cross on the ground, which the beleaguered Titans keeper couldn’t quite reach. The half closed with a beautiful long cross by junior Alex Fine to Gomez who nailed it in for a 7-1 lead.

Final score: B-CC 7, Einstein 1.
